As subsidiary of Arçelik will make a joint-venture with the Indian company Voltas with an investment of 100 million dollar. The new organization will launch different kind of home appliances, such as refrigerators, washing machines, microwaves ovens and other products in the Indian market. «Voltas Limited, a Tata Enterprise; and Ardutch BV, a subsidiary of Arçelik AS – part of the Koc Group, have agreed to establish a joint venture company (JVC) in India, to enter the consumer durables market in the country. The new company to be incorporated in India will be an equal partnership joint venture» – the two companies declared in a joint statement.
Voltas is specialized in the production of air conditioners with a big market share in India and has the now the mission to expand the appliances range in other segments. Moreover, with this operation the Arçelik brand Beko will enter the Indian market.
